even thurman said he understands maidana and would've done the same in that situation, moving up in weight and performing like crap, you are gonna fight a big puncher?? idiotic, but apparently only americans (and khan) are allowed to have tune ups.

btw thurman's chin is suspect (is not a good sign if sotto karass makes you dance like khan)... that 0 won't last for too long IMO

He's not happy with Roberto Garcia, yet he won't take Alexander's challenge.

Thurman's chin is not suspect. He has a pretty good chin (he withstood all of those hits from Chaves and Soto Karass and was never knocked down or really in any trouble). In fact, he's only been down just once in his career and stopped the dude in three rounds after that.

Showtime has done a terrible job on Thurman. It's exacerbated by Haymon paying his fighters $1 million for fighting nobodies. And when they are asked to fight Thurman they say no. Only way to attract them is to pay them astronomical sums of money, which SHO can't afford. If SHO did, they'd lose money as these fighters are not Cotto or Canelo caliber fighters when it comes to the box office. That's why Haymon, Schaefer and Espinoza has done a terrible damage to the sport. Haymon-protected fighters vs nobodies are the only fights SHO can afford.

Is Thurman now using the same reasoning why Guerrero and Maidana don't want to fight him? It could be that Thurman sees Garcia as a high risk, low reward fighter.

lol what? Thurman hasn't said he wouldn't fight Roberto Garcia, wtf are you talking about? Dan Birmingham is the one who said he'd like Thurman to fight Garcia in the first place...

Man some people on here are ******.

Btw, Thurman has just done an interview with 78sportstv and said he would like to fight Khan, Alexander or Guerrero.

I would love to see them build up a Garcia vs. Thurman match. That would be good.
