Which would have been the better fight for Pacquiao to take?

    Algeri or Amir Khan?

Amir Khan claims Pacquiao and his team wanted no part to him and refused to even begin negotiations to fight him. Is Pacquiao or maybe Roach avoiding Khan? I know if this happened with other fighters they would be quick to get the "duck" label, but we're talking about Manny here so that wouldn't be the case.

Khan says he told Golden Boy Promotions, and his adviser Al Haymon, that he's open to the idea of facing Pacquiao, but his team never received a response on the fight.

"The Manny fight can still happen at some point,” Khan told The Guardian. “My promoters, Golden Boy, and Bob Arum are about to start working together again. Me and Manny sparred a lot, and I often went with him to the Philippines, so it would make a great fight. I’ve left it with my team and my adviser Al Haymon and I told them: ‘I like the Manny fight.’ But we’ve had no response."
It should also be noted that Khan claimed to have dropped Manny in sparring, he's mentioned this on twitter on a couple occasions. No one knows the severity of it though, but Manny was dropped so it's safe to say he was hurt by Khan.

There's no doubt in my mind the Khan fight would have proven more than fighting an unknown ESPN level fighter who is being forced up in weight. Why do you think Team Pac refused to negotiate for a Khan fight? Are they avoiding Khan?

Arum requested a copy of Khan's contract, presumably to see how tied up he was with Haymon, he received no response from Khan's team.

    The article was on boxingscene.

Care to state a source on that?

A fight with Amir Khan would have been amazing.

Didn't Roach already come out saying he wouldn't want that fight because he said Khan staring to hold to much. It was on boxingscene.

Algieri is not only the better fight but he also presents the bigger challenge. He'll circle Pacquiao as oppose to pulling straight back, he'll avoid shootouts and on top of that his chin is up to the task.

              Fuck Khan.

Yup. If it were anyone else that refused to negotiate a deal for an actual decent fight, only to refuse and fight an unknown he would be ridiculed. But it's the saint, the pride of the Philippines, so no issues from them.

Pacquiao's power is mostly all substance and flash and I'm talking about what's left of his power. He's not knocking Khan or Algeri down. I don't understand why people make out Algeri as this master boxer, it's almost as if they forgot who he beat. D level ESPN fighter who gets hit more than Rios. He even dropped Algeri.
