Sophie Tinklin, an amateur 20-year-old boxer from Wales in the United Kingdom, has been banned for four years by the sport’s anti-doping body for distributing performance-enhancing drugs, according to the Reuters news agency.
U.K. Anti Doping lists Tinklin’s violation date as occurring in July 2012. Her ban will end in February 2018. She was accused of “possession of one or more prohibited substances; trafficking or attempting trafficking of prohibited substances; and assisting, encouraging, aiding, abetting or covering up or any other type of complicity involving an anti-doping rule violation or any attempted anti-doping rule violation.”
