lol if it is... I think that's only possible with interim titles... freaking joke if it is because WBC might want more money

Maybe they can get Rubio. Since they could use a Mexican on the bill. But I doubt he gives up his mando shot at Cotto.

We could see Cotto vacate, especially if he fights Bradely or even a JMW, leaving Rubio the sole title holder. Rubio had to sue for that title shot, and his mandatory status has been strecthed.

Funny thing is, Matthew Macklin is fighting a WBC eliminator (this weekend?) against Jorge Heiland.

WBC aren't going to touch Cotto, trust me.... especially with Cotto/Canelo around the corner

If I'm Cotto, I definitely want to fight Alvarez at 154 and not give him any lbs for the sake of fighting for a MW title. By next May, I think their 154lb version may become available. But your right, the orgs don't touch the top money makers, though the WBC is more wary of lawsuits than any of the other orgs...

I think they'll up a catch weigh in at the lower end of the weight class and use canelo a comments about never wanting to go up to mw against him

Mora's never been KO'd though, so he has that going for him. But I don't think most viewers would care for that fact. And for whatever it's worth, Rubio is also ranked higher than Mora right now.
Is there much point to either fight? After the Geale destruction, I see GGG v anyone from 154-160 as a formality. He beats them all.

I hate to say it, but maybe he should use this Autumn/Fall to test a move up in weight.
