It will be at 170 pounds . Hopkins will become top 5 all time great once he wins.

Then Hopkins wouldn't get much credit for winning, and Golovkin would have too much risk to take it. It probably wouldn't happen.

I think this fight is pretty feasible - if we regard the Hop' side. Dunno if Gena will be interested or not at the moment the fight could happen. May be there would be some other options for him..

I'm afraid that Hopkins really lives in a parallel universe...
I can see why he is so keen to take fights with the likes of Kovalev or Golovkin -- because B-Hop doesn't actually understand their boxing style...
... But taking a Ward fight is too much for me to understand. Ward would beat him even tomorrow -- with no training camp at all...

Why did a potential top 5 all time great refuse blood testing against Pascal and why does he never request blood-testing for his fights?

Besides the obvious age difference, how is B-Hop fighting Kovalev at this stage of Kovalev's career any more threatening than when Mayweather fought Canelo last fall?

Well, age is a major factor...let's see Floyd still beating top guys 12 years from now.

Another is power; Canelo has good power, Kovalev has vicious power.

                This won't be at a catch-weight either.

Canelo is a better all around boxer, and Kovalev is tailor made for Hopkins. I don't see any major threat outside of the age difference.

                    Canelo really isn't that good.

He's a solid fighter with good power, nothing more...I also had him losing to Lara. Canelo's boxing skill was shown against Mayweather, he was slow, sloppy and lost.

Kovalev isn't great either, but his power is huge and his opponent is 50. Again, the lack of a catch-weight makes this tougher also.

Is he making Kovalev come down to 173 after fighting at 175 numerous times? Nope...
