    Foreign fighters

Don't come to the US of A if you wants fair competition and capable judging. It is becoming the norm for foreign boxers (especially Russian) to get straight up robbed. I knew going into the decision that novikov would get robbed, i seriously expect it now--i hope kovalev never has to go to a decision lol. Maybe his knockouts are to avoid that because he is aware of the american bias

I don't feel bad for Novikov because he didn't want to do drug testing like Vargas was asking. Besides, even if the scorecards ended up being too wide he still lost that fight in my opinion.

It doesn't just happen in America, it happens everywhere. Human nature I suppose. Unfortunately too many on here think it is only in Germany or Britain or Japan, or whatever country they are prejudiced against that this happens. Unfortunately it happens in every country.

Can you tell us what rounds Vargas won?

I'm very interesting in seeing how in the blue hell Vargas could of possibly won 7 rounds last night? It simply isn't possible.

Americans get robbed vs other Americans all the time too. Usually "the name" is going to get the nod over "the opponent" regardless of nationality. That's boxing.

EXACTLY! And I won't even get into the Amateur and Olympic scoring/judging which is just all corrupt and very Anti American which is why a lot of fighters just turn pro instead of dealing with that corruption

Boxing is a corrupt sport WORLD WIDE, EVERYBODY is bias Culturally, Racially and everything else. Yes they want to see their on do well and it is nothing wrong with that at all. It is annoying though when people can't give respect to anybody BUT THEIR OWN and no not one group do it more or any of that BS WE ARE ALL GUILTY OF IT!

That being said...IT IS AMERICA so you come to America YES the Announcers, Networks all will be bias towards the AMERICAN because well...IT IS AMERICA. But America is fair because they allow guys like Pacquiao to come here and make a TON OF MONEY.

Well its obvious American nationals are preferred cash cows considering all the major networks aside from sky sports are American, and all the money is in America. I think this is the real reason American fighters are preserved. I agree it is a plaque that is affecting boxing everywhere, but I notice more blatant and obvious cases being in favor of American fighters.

Just look at Harold Lederman's scorecard. He had it pretty much on the button. It's not a robbery just because one guy loses a close fight.

Now if you want to say that the official judges had it scored way too wide then I would agree with you, that wasn't right.

America and the UK are both pretty horrible for the visiting fighters. It's actually more fair in Germany now and it's been that way for a while. I've never even really seen much of a robbery in Russia take place.

Lederman had one round that was clearly wrong, and another one that he scored for Vargas where he landed the one shot early, then Novikov proceeded to outland/outwork/outbox him for the rest of the round, so that round was debatable. And he ended up scoring it 115-113 - change that one wrong round and leave the debatable one to Vargas and it's still a draw.

he blatantly scored one of the late rounds (11?) wrong- for Vargas and it was clearly a Novikov round.

He also gave Vargas round 6 which IMO was a Novikov round but take away that one round at the end and give it to Novikov and its a draw on his card. that late round to Vargas was absolute bologna

If I'm not mistaken, Novikov outlanded, outthrew and dictated the tempo/had ring generalship in literally like 7 out of the last 8 rounds or so

Of course not ever close fight is a robbery- but I thought Novikov clearly won
