Both fighters were getting rough in there; the point is that it wasn't rough enough for a fighter to be disqualified. I've seen Hopkins do more fouls in one round than the combined fouls of both these guys during the fight.

This was a close, dirty, and gritty fight. The worst part to me was the fact that Chaves was trying to act innocent as if he did nothing wrong. As if the he didn't hold, didn't eye gauge, didn't use his head. Give me a break. There was points were Chaves would push his head into Rios for 5 seconds and then look at the ref as if Rios was doing something wrong. Then Chaves has the balls to claim he was giving a lesson.Comment

This ref deducts a point for holding in one of the early rounds tonight, yet was the ref for Khan/Collazo and let Khan get away with about 50 clinches PER ROUND. Sickening. And I'm not even saying that as a Chaves fan. I thought it was a close fight, and the winner would assert himself in the last round and a half.Comment

I don't agree with the stoppage but still my point is still valid. Chaves and Rios were both dirty. Rios at least owned up to his fouls. Unlike Chaves who would foul then give the ref puppy dogs eye to try and act as if he was innocent.Comment
