Chaves was clearly acting the fool pretending to be fouled. Was hoping to see a great fight from the skills he showed in the Thurman fight, but he decided to complain and fight like a *****. To me personally, he was tired or jetlagged or something. Can't even count how many times he clinched.
he was gassed up and its either the jet lag or the brunette in his locker before the fight.

I am not so sure about that, I think he couldn't handle Rios' inside fighting, so every time he got close he would clinch. Notice that the first two or three rounds he was fighting him toe to toe in a phone booth fashion, but when he noticed that Rios would through everything he threw and proceed to hurt him he decided to clinch and move. I didn't mind the clinching (I don't like it but it's a part of boxing, look at Andre Ward), but I hated how he would cry to the ref when he was the one doing most of the fouling. I can't believe I was the rooting for this guy at the beginning, he turned out to be a real *****.

well his answers about "teaching rios" in there could be some reasoning. like he was trying to old school rios but did it wayyy too much and it cost him a dq. i thought he just wanted out and was looking at slicking his way into setting up rios into some point deductions and hold on for dear life for the rest of teh fight which is weird because he was clearly the superior boxer.
As Maidana said in an interview before the fight, Chaves is a great boxer but he doesn't know what to do when you attack him. This was clear as day everytime Rios got inside he would instantly hold or fake a headbutt like a little b!tch.
A shame about the referee cause this fight was going to be decided in the last two rounds.
that is hilarious because after seeing that chavez was trying to be a soccer player for a career before he got into boxing, all I could see was soccer player antics with him trying to sell fouls or anything rough like he was in the world cup.
I even told my nephew who was watching the fights with me, " look at this guys over dramatic movements and the looks he keeps throwing to the ref."
**** was funny, and TRUE TO FORM, EVERY TIME A FIGHTER WHO DOES THAT, IS ALWAYS THE ONE WHO IS FOULING THE MOST!!!
Dirty fighters are always the first to complain and cry about something, when the fight isn't going their way. not all dirty fighters but the ones who RELY on those type antics always do. ALWAYS.
real hard nose fighters that get labeled as dirty, never or rarely ever complain, they're all about mixing it up.
sad thing is, chavez didn't need to do any eccessive holding or fouling last night, he was handling himself fine and was very competitive, a rematch between the two would be awesome because they put on a very entertaining fight, I love watching both guys fight period, against each other is even better. that fight was all action and big bombs and no one was giving an inch.
do it again, just without all the bull mess this next time.
