Golovkin vs Hopkins

I haven't seen this discussed. Hopkins says he would go down to fight Mayweather, but I haven't heard him mention Golovkin.

Okay fair enough, I missed it. To be fair to Golovkin, I don't think he's mentioned any other LHWs either.

Younger mw version of Hopkins beats ggg, no problem, maybe even stops him

But the 49 year old Hopkins would get outpointed.. Hopkins would fight to defensively and not enough offensive and he will get outpointed like he did vs Taylor and Dawson

Hopkins wanted to fight Golovkin last year, but iirc at 175lbs.

The likes of Ward and Hopkins might beat Golovkin due to the hit and clinch style, I'm not sure Golovkin would cope with that style.

prime hopkins takes golovkin to school, but now GGG would beat him even if hopkins wasnt hurting himself to make 160lbs (which he would). he would do it for mayweather because the disparity in size would make up for his own disadvantage and even the odds. but with a big, young, physical guy like GGG that wouldnt be the case. im uncertain whether hopkins has enough craft and skills to go the distance, but considering he would be a 50 year old man making a weight he hasnt made in 10 years im inclined to think he acctually gets stopped.
