Kinda like a player coach similar to Bill Russell. Has that ever happened in boxing history? I know a lot of fighters end up being trainers but im talking about an ACTIVE fighter also being an ACTIVE trainer at the same time?

He means at the same time I believe. Someone who doesn't have a trainer in his corner. Beibut didn't

A friend of mine Ice John Scully was a former 175 pound contender who fought Michael Nunn among others and also trained contenders and 2-3 world champs like Chad Dawson, Mike Oliver, Matt Godfrey, etc. I believe he may have been training boxers at the latter part of his own career. But then the real question would be did an active boxer train a fighter who was a top 10 fighter at the time the boxer/trainer was still active and rated in the top 10 or top 25 of a division.
