I don't think he beats Ward but here's what it is, Golovkin's not the lineal SMW champion and he doesn't hold a belt there. It's not a legit comparison.

I don't think Cotto should fight Golovkin, but if he's not going to fight legit MWs he should keep it real and vacate the belt.

People always seem to overlook his 345-5 amateur record as if he's some crude brawler with no skill. The guy can fight, he's not just a big puncher. Just happens he has bricks for hands and knocks everyone out. Ward is an amazing fighter but styles do make fights and it's more then possible GGG could adjust and give ward trouble. Never know until they step in together, which will happen at some point.

how does that work? they have completely different styles. martinez wanted to stay away and box cotto while golovking wants to get close to cotto. cotto if he's smart wouldn't want golovking to get close to him so he would try to fight off the back foot except he's not very fast and golovking would easily corner him. the end.

Anytime someone randomly brings up Ward in a GGG thread, you can just feel their butthurt. Not only is he in a different division, but when you have to bring up the #1 SMW, #2 P4P fighter in a lot of people's eyes, as the only person who can challenge GGG.....You just know GGG has to be really good
