mcclellan clearly hit harder than golovkin too.

since him i cant think of someone who can match GGG for power, someone said pavlik but i disagree with that. abraham maybe, for sheer power anyways. GGG is clearly a better puncher who sets up and delivers his punches better, but abraham may top him as far as just power goes.

Yeah i think so... I dont think he is as big of puncher as jackson, but he is the closest along with G-man

I think he is a harder puncher than pavlik and tito and any other mw over the past 25 years

I would even go as far as Lemieux punches harder than Golovkin. If Lemieux hits a guy clean, they are hurt or out.

Golovkin just has great timing and opens up his opponents while lemieux is wild and much easier to defend against.

Golovkin is a heavy puncher, but what makes it scary is he does not put everything into his shots. If he wailed away he could be scary like Jackson. You can tell he holds back some to ensure accuracy and placement.

A few guys hit harder or at least as hard, they've been named already in this thread so not typing them all out....I'm pretty positive Jackson hit harder than GGG dowe.

The scary thing about Lemieux, is he does not even use punchers gloves. He uses the puffy "Floyd" style gloves to protect his own hands.

yea, if he loaded up like jackson i don't think anyone doesn't get sparked if caught clean

i've only seen one fighter eat a golovkin overhand clean to the chin, and not an exaggerated loopy right to get around the guard, and that was ishida, and he got sparked

so i think he punches atleast as hard as jackson

No way in hell, he punches harder than the Hawk. Don't get me wrong, Golovkin has amazing power, but Jackson had otherworldly power, some rated him hardest puncher in history p4p. His knock-out of Graham was as visceral as they get, the guy looks he just had gotten sniped.

However, to answer the thread question, he could be the hardest punching MW since Jackson, but McClellan gives him a run for his money. Not sure who punches harder.

i think what impresses me more about jackson is the fact that he could land those loaded up, compact punches

nonito dinaire would be wise to revise alot of julian jackson since he loves to load up so much, figure out how jackson seemed to be in such good position to land those shots that most would only be able to get off on a heavybag
