Lovemore N'Dou has added his name to the list of possible opponents for Ricky Hatton's first American fight.
The Sydney-based South African, once world rated at 140lbs, has capitalised on the confusion still surrounding the Hitman's Stateside debut.
Hatton this week revealed that he is looking at a shortlist of three: WBA lightweight champion Juan Diaz, former WBA light-welterweight champ Vivian Harris and his IBF mandatory challenger Ben Rabah.
They are not the stellar names many expected for the double world champion, but N'Dou believes he has the pedigree and the style to make sure the Hitman makes an immediate impact across the pond.
With all due respect to Vivian Harris, he is no match for Hatton," he said. "I am the gatekeeper of the super-lightweight division.
"If Ricky Hatton wants to make a statement in the USA, why doesn’t he fight me? Because I will knock him out, that’s why!"
"I always give the fans what they want to see, great fights! You never hear other fighters calling out Lovemore Ndou because they know with a proper training camp, I will knock them all out!"
