WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs) has some business to take care of on August 9th, when he takes on huge underdog Rod Salka, but a unification with IBF champion Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16KOs) is the fight he wants next. The two champions will co-headline a Showtime televised tripleheader from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Peterson will face local challenger Edgar Santana on the show. If both of them win their contests, Garcia would like to unify with Peterson at the end of the year or in early 2015.

Danny has severely disappointed any fans that he used to have. He said already that he wants to move up to 147 but now hes fighting again and he wants to fight peterson. for what? Danny is gonna move up and vacate the titles anyway. Unless he plans on keeping them, which is just dumb cuz 147 is the most stacked division right now.
