Cotto vs. GGG should happen first and it's the fight I want to see. GGG has been the number 1 rated middleweight in the world for about two years now by Ring, Boxrec, Boxing Scene and just about every other place that ranks fighters. Martinez should have fought GGG instead of Cotto would never beat a middleweight. Now Cotto is supposed to fight Canelo next even though Canelo never beat a middleweight either. It sounds to me like the middleweight division has suddenly become the Jr. middleweight division. If Cotto is a serious middleweight champion then he should defend his title against the best middleweight challenger at the full 160 pound limit and that's clearly GGG. Tough **** if it's a mismatch. If Cotto can't handle GGG then he should vacate the middleweight title and go have a big money with Canelo leaving the middleweight title open for GGG to fight the next highest rated middleweight for the real middleweight title. I am a big Canelo fan and I would love to see him fight Cotto but not for the middleweight title. The lineal middleweight champ and the best middleweight in the world should be the same man and right now they are not unless someone truly believes Cotto is the world's best middleweight.

No because Cotto would retire after Canelo Decisions him.

I'd say Cotto/Alvarez if there was any guarantee Golovkin gets the winner. Since there is no such guarantee, I want Golovkin to finally get his shot at the middleweight championship. Boxing fans shouldn't be okay with Golovkin waiting and waiting and waiting and never getting his shot.
