Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: I'm a Lion, I'm Coming To Take That Title!

British welterweight Kell Brook (32-0) has promised to put on a show when he challenges IBF champion Shawn Porter (32-0) on August 16th at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. Porter is viewed as the favorite, but Brook says the American fans will not be surprised when he puts in a spectacular performance.

"I don't think they'll be surprised, I think that it is what it is. They're going to see what Kell Brook can really do, and, in fact, everyone around the world is going to see why they do call me "The Special One" and you're going to see me at my best," Brook said.

This will probably be the first time many American boxing fans will see Kell Brook in action and see if he's the real deal, including myself. I can't wait for this fight.

I'm definitely rooting for Brook after all this shady stuff with the drug testing.

In as much as brooks has been fighting bums I would really want him to win considering the drug testing issues with Porter.

This is the best Championship fight of the summer IMO (as a potential match up).

I like Porter for a stoppage inside 6 rounds.

I'm sorry but I don't trust USADA testing. Mayweather made me su****ious of the company after he refused to use any other testing...which is one of the reasons he wouldn't fight Pacquiao unless Pac agreed strictly to USADA. The organization has reportedly granted waivers to Mayweather...it's shady business...

Porter has been shady about the drug-testing... I liked the kid...but he went from having a draw which was probably really a loss with Juan Diaz to looking like Shane Mosley in his prime...

Brook is not American...therefore, USADA should not be the company used...it should be an international body conducting the drug testing...js...

With USADA testing (which I think is basically shady testing)... I think Porter wins easily and he still looks like Sugar Shane at Lightweight and destroys Brook...

If they were undergoing VADA or WADA testing, then I'd pick Brook by clear decision...

If Kel brings his A game he will time porter rushing in all night, will be a close fight but Kels superior boxing ability will see him win i think, Porter is strong and fast but untidy and overly aggresive which leaves him open to big shots and Kels going to be landing many

lol Porter recently said he's going to fight more 'cautious'

Damn right he is, without that ish in his system he won't have the same power or energy.
