Comments Thread For: Lomachenko’s Manager: No Easy Route, Toughest Foes Next

Vasyl Lomachenko was fast out of the gate once his pro career started in earnest, his six World Series of Boxing bouts not withstanding. He started off with a fourth-round knockout of 25-3 Jose Ramirez, then proceeded directly to a title fight against Orlando Salido.

Salido came in overweight, got away with plenty of low blows and still was only able to beat Lomachenko by split decision. Lomachenko went on to win a world title this past June, when the two-time Olympic gold medalist topped Gary Russell Jr. by majority decision.

Don't you mental cases start chanting.....

.....Rigo, Rigo, Rigo. Give Lomo an opportunity to own his weight class. He's got plenty of time. It's his fourth fight.

Besides mares the other ranked wbo fighters blow. Lomas needs to unify with the other champs of the division. Since the Filipino fraud phonito is afraid of Walters maybe he can fight loma to unify.

Like a bull out of the gate. Gotta respect that. Never mind all this crap about having 25 pro fights before fighting someone with a pulse. That's what the amateurs are for.

I think Arum is trying to set up the tournament between all the 126lbers soon, but til then Loma should stay busy get a couple more fights under his belt.

Loma was previously offered a fight with rigo and turned it down. If his team says they want the toughest fights, then rigo should be next.

Rigondeaux would murder this little chipmunk Lomachenko and everyone knows it.

I feel you to a point. Gary Russel Jr. Made a horrible mistake and paid dearly.. but they are still rushing Loma because Gary Russell Jr. Wasnt really a tough fight for him - all I can think about is Fernando Vargas fighting trinidad with under 15 fights (give or take a couple) but then I think about the very tough road Evander Holyfield took so I guess it depends on the makeup of the fighter..

How did he make a horrible mistake? He had 24 pro fights under his belt. If he couldnt handle and was outclassed by a fighter with just 2 pro fights then he's just not that good to begin with.

Vargas had 20 fights when he fought tito...loma vs gradovich in a unification is the biggest fight in the division for me.
