  • Why have we yet to see a Golden Boy-Top Rank co-promoted fight yet?

Well Oscar and Arum seemed to have the casual fans fooled, but not those who look deeper into things. What happened to the Cold War being over?

It's been 1 month since the withdrawal from Golden Boy's CEO Richard Schaefer. Since then both Oscar and Arum have been claiming the "Cold War" was over. Casuals fans around the sport claimed it was Schaefer who refused to work with Arum, but most knowledgeable fans knew it was the other way around. Not only did Arum not do business with Schaefer, he also despises Al Haymon.

Why have we yet been subjected to a single fight revolving around the two companies? Is Oscar in for more than he bargained for when he clearly isn't capable of handling the day to day business over at Golden Boy? When will it hit him that Arum played him for a fool all along? When will we get our first TR-GB promoted fight....in this supposedly "post Cold War" era?

no time soon. RS was not the problem. Arum is the hold up and always has been. unless they can put together cotto/canelo, we won't see a co promoted card until Bob passes on,

It should also be noted that Russel is NOT promoted by Golden Boy. He's managed by Al Haymon and that's it.

Russell is promoted by GBP, he sign with them just before Richard left.

Ben Thompson's article that showed the list of Haymon managed fighters who were with Golden Boy, and Haymon managed fighters not with Golden boy showed GRjr in the ladder.
