Comments Thread For: Rios: Chaves Will Run Once He Feels Power, Pressure

With Brandon Rios’ opponent Diego Chaves finally being cleared for a visa to be able to travel and fight in Las Vegas this Saturday night, the focus shifts back to the possible war both these fighters are expected to put on.

Both Rios and Chaves have come forward styles and have power in both hands which is the perfect recipe for an all-out slugfest.

Sorry Brandon, Alvarado wasn't running all the time, he was boxing, and he gave you the business. It was still a close fight because...it's Mike Alvarado.

Mike boxed for like 3 rounds and literally ran the rest of the night.

Chaves can box better then Alvardo but Never once in the Thurman fight did he run he still tried to get his off.

I expect a war to break out eventually mid point that Rios will eventually win.

Rios' words don't really mean much. Chaves is the quicker of the two and in much better shape than Rios. Rios will probably have a decent start for the first three rounds but after that Chaves takes over and batters Rios until the 12th round.

Rios has the right mentality for this one, and he looked like he was close to the weight 2 weeks ago, so I think he's physically prepared as well. Rios by KO 9 or 10.

Chaves looks decent but people are overrating him due to putting up a good fight in a losing effort against Keith Thurman, another untested fighter. So really, what has Chaves really done? I think that Rios will stop Chaves in a good back and forth fight.

If he wasn't running from Thurman, he's not gonna run from Rios.
