    PHILADELPHIA - Unified Super Lightweight World Champion Danny "Swift" Garcia opened his DSG Boxing Gym in Philadelphia Wednesday for a media workout prior to his August 9 welterweight bout against "Lightning" Rod Salka at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY live on SHOWTIME.

    Garcia, along with his father and trainer, Angel Garcia, spoke to the media about the upcoming fight and trained in front of the cameras. With fight night just over a week away, here is what the two had to say on Wednesday:

        I agree but he's already facing a severe backlash from fans. Have you checked the recent videos posted on thaboxingvoice? All Danny Garcia, and Angel Garcia videos, have like 10 more dislikes than likes. Clearly the public perception of him is at an all-time low following the Herrera robbery. It also doesn't help that he's fighting Salka at 142 for some reason.

        He needs to knockout Salka and do it impressively and early.

          If he can't knock out Salka, he should retire from boxing. This is disgraceful matchup.
