All this because his father doesn't want him to move up yet. I like Danny Garcia as a fighter/boxer but clearly they are prolonging the inevitable and that is Danny moving up and fighting tougher/stronger guys.

they say it's his debut but hasn't danny fought at welterweight before? i could've sworn he has in several of his earlier fights.

He is fighting now at catch weight of 142 besides the real 140 # king for many people is Mauricio Herrera. if you go by the statistics of the fight against Herrera you'll find that Mauricio landed about 2.5 times to one in number of jabs (139-54 and Herrera also won in total number of punches) and many of those jabs where really snapping Garcia's head making him bleed and to look very bad. Good that Garcia fought on his ancestor's island because in another place he wouldn't have been able to keep the titles. And after that "tune-up and homecoming" fight with Herrera, Garcia has decided to face a very dangerous unranked 135 # fighter brought to the welter division (everything above 140 # belongs to the upper division). No wonder why Garcia is so impressive to you!!!

To me herrera didnt win that fight. Garcia landed way more power punches than herrera. Its not amateur competition. Thats why algieri tgot the win and herrera didnt. Go look at the punch stats for both of those fights and youll see the difference. Garcia is still a ***** though for fighting a 77th ranked 135 lbr.
