Comments Thread For: Loeffler: Cotto-Golovkin is Biggest New York Fight

Promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, who handle the career of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27KOs), feels confident that a fight between his feared boxer from Kazakhstan, and WBC middleweight Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) - is currently the biggest possible fight that anyone can stage on New York soil.

Probably nowhere near bigger than Cotto/Canelo.

Really. Are you Cottos manager? You know what the proposed site fee is, expected attendance, potential ppv #s? Lmfao.

Make it the fight! I am getting really sick of always hearing reasons why all the fights we want to see can't get made.

Regardless, Other than Canelo this is the biggest fight cotto can make this year. It would be big and do just as good on ppv as cotto v martinez.

I think he means just among new York based fighters like quillin and jacobs. cotto in with Floyd, manny or canelo would all be bigger in NYC than a GGG fight.

I hope Cotto next fight is against either Canelo or GGG. But I have a feeling it is going to be Rubio.

I wonder why they are not calling out peter quillin? He does have a belt, is a bigger name and a better fighter than geale. How about fighting the number 2 p4p ward? GGG's team did say they would fight anyone 168. Oh thats right, it dont make financial sense doe.
