Marcos Maidana is on a short list of fighters who have been able to give boxing’s pound for pound king Floyd “Money” Mayweather a tough and competitive fight in the ring. He’s also on an even shorter list as he’s only the 2nd fighter to get a rematch against Mayweather with the other fighter being Jose Luis Castillo twelve years ago.

Part of the reason there was a demand for a fight with Mayweather and Maidana in the first place was due to Maidana upsetting Adrien Broner last year. Many have compared Broner to Mayweather as both use a shoulder roll defense and have similar personas outside the ring.

What's there to defend? Broner is stronger and hits harder. But Floyd is IDK, at least 100x better.

I don't know. Floyd never has had to plant his feet to keep Maidana up off of him yet, Floyd usually doesn't go full power unless he get's rocked ala Mosley or has lost early rounds ala Cotto..

Not only does AB have more power but Broner has a vastly superior offense than Floyd

Broner is the naturally bigger fighter. Doesn't change the fact that Maidana fought the best he could fight and Floyd still handled him pretty good.

He is strong than Mayweather, everyone knows that. BUT he is also dumb than Mayweather. That's what counts.
