Chris considers that his first fight with Wladimir, which took place on October 14, 2000, in Cologne, was unjust and Wladimir won unfairly. Initially Byrd claimed that Wladimir was on steroids, but then claimed that Wladimir’s gloves had some kind of substance on them that significantly affected his eyesight.

Wladimir landed just 33% of his total punches vs. Byrd. This is the same fighter who landed 42% vs. Jameel McCline and 44% vs. Ray Mercer.

Excuses, excuses. Same type that Wlad claimed after Brewster fight.

Wlad beat Byrd last time quite easily and i think Byrd has never forgiven himself for not being as good as wlad. i think Byrd will invent a new excuse for the night and let it rip in the post fight interview!
