Sadly this is very true. Golovkin has earned a very good reputation in the sport but he isn't a household name outside of the sport and Geale is far from that. I reckon the ratings were probably better in Australia?

      • GGG requires a star name to make him a star.
He needs Chavez Jr. and he ain't cooperating.
He needs Cotto but he has Canelo.
He needs Froch and he just plain knows better.
He even needs Quillen but we know the score there.

Until someone steps up to the plate GGG is in limbo.

          • GGG's management just needs to come down off their high horse, sakk up, and fight Ward. And if Gennady gets his ass kicked he just gets his ass kicked. GGG fanboys notice, I said, "his management." Because I think like most fighters, GGG will fight anybody and whatever happens happens.

But GGG has made himself easier to avoid with his handling of the Ward situation. If you're not a completely blind worshiper of the boy, its kinda hard to feel sorry for him. Especially when he's been big timing a more accomplished fighter who's at least an equal draw, if not bigger.

This is great news for the people who have endure the ****** bias posts that "ggg is tbe" and is "god", and "ward brings nothing to the table" but now that the numbers are in now its nothing but excuse after excuse.....HE has no leverage when it comes to negotiating to fighters like chavez, ward, cotto or canelo..

Can't argue that. Point is bad ratings are bad for the sport no matter who it is. I don't get why fans rejoice when a boxing broadcast flops
