its because alot of americans think UK fighters are bums with no talent and fraudulent records merely because they havent fought many americans, when the fact is the top americans demand silly money and are impossible to fight unless you do everything on their terms, so credit to Lacy for accepting this fight and if he wins good luck to him because he would have beaten a great champion.

This is a battle of two great fighters, who just happen to be from different countries. There are Americans and Europeans alike that are very biased, and act like boxing only exists in their country. It's an honorable thing to support your countrymen, and as an American soldier, I am very patriotic. However, I've followed several fighters from outside the states' careers for quite a while, including Hatton, Calzaghe, and of course Mexico, Puerto Rico, Phillipines, etc. A great fighter is a great fighter, and their ethnicity or nationality should be of no relevance. I'm for Lacy because he's one of my favorite fighters, not because he's American, just like I was for Lennox against Tyson, Holyfield, and several other Americans... like Rodney King said "Can't we all just get along"... (sorry for the Rodney reference)

I don't buy that dirty tactics bit. It was a very high energy, fast paced fight. Hatton is very aggressive, and with aggression comes fouls. He fought his fight, and that's why Tszyu was dethroned. There are plenty of guys who fight dirtier than Hatton... see Mike Tyson... and look at his worldwide fan base. I, personally, can't stand the guy, though.

certain board members reply with abuse and bad lanquage if they disagree with somone`s opinion. personally i find it easy to reply to them by taking the micky out of them in a nice way, we cant`t hold it against them because they have trouble holding a constuctive argument i really believe calzaghe will win , if he loses i will take my punishment from lacy fans but hopfully they dish it out in a sportsmanlike manner.
