Didnt Porter hang out with Pacman?

Echoes of fights pass. Remember Chavez Jr. not having the post-fight test, and Lamont Peterson maintaining a belt after being popped. I hope Paulie continues to use his new position with Showtime bring light to these situations. Paulie might just contribute more to boxing outside of the ring as an analyst (A La Teddy Atlas) than he did in the ring as a fighter. I think testing has to be something that happens without a cost to the fighter's purse, and a cost that every licensed promoter has to pay and subsidized by the networks that cover the sport. You wanna show FNF...put the money in kitty...You wanna promote boxing shows...pay the tax! I just don't see any organization with enough power on the planet to make it happen. Some will say VADA, but VADA follows WADA, and similar issues were raised by Garcia/Ariza during the Pac vs. Rios fight in Macau.Comment

So what should be the positive spin here?
Golden Boy (Eric Gomez) told Lem (******.com) that USADA "couldn't" be used since there wasn't enough time (six weeks) to properly administer testing, since the date was "originally" September 6.
That's bull**** for a number of reasons: one, the original date was Aug 9. then pushed back to 9/6, then bumped up to 8/16. The final date was secured by July 2, which - had they properly secured testing as the contracts stated - would give them exactly six weeks heading into fight week.
The beef isn't with USADA, but with the shady relationship it "enjoys" with Golden Boy.
Worse, Oscar - who claims to be 100% in control of Golden Boy - is either lying about testing, or utterly clueless about the circumstances. This issue surfaced a week ago, yet he acted like it was the first time hearing about it.
So again I ask, what positive events should have been taken from this?Comment

You still fail to explain how there was anything shady on USADA's part here or how their relationship with Golden Boy plays a shady role in what happened here.
They did no testing. It's not like they said they did and later on backtracked.
If anything we can blame Golden Boy for not being straight with the fighters.
Thats about it.Comment
