What it Jr. decides to work Cotto's body? Chavez used to be good at that.

"Chavez said his son was only willing to go down to 160 pounds if it was for a big fight, and the fight against Cotto would be.

Julius Caesar added that he already talked with Puerto Rican and told that it would go smoothly in the ring against 'Junior'."

Chavez has never been good at anything, but it doesn't matter. I think Cotto loses to Jr under any circumstances, there is just too much of a size advantage to overcome.

The only reason I started this thread: it's so funny how they can seriously negotiate a MW fight between a Welterweight and a Light Heavyweight...

I'm not convinced in Chavez's power, nor do I think he'll be accurate enough. Cotto has decent defense, and being much smaller will make it harder for Chavez to land consistently. Cotto will be able to smother him on the inside and get off first. Chavez is going to land few body shots on a 5'7 opponent. As long as Cotto stays responsible, he'll win a clear decision. Chavez will be a 180lb heavy bag.

Good for Cotto.. Facing a big, tough challenger who will bring in a new chapter to the Mexico vs Puerto Rico rivalry. Fans will eat it up, the names are known. Both bring in huge fan bases and it's a big money fight for Cotto who's fight career almost everyone.

Chavez doesn't have a lot of power, but Cotto doesn't have a great chin or stamina. He'll lose with one good shot, it's all it will take.

I guess that these two guys will make a huge purse fight -- with Jr. over 160 at the weigh in, and with Cotto keeping his belts even if he loses...
