And to think, this is actually a slow year. He missed a fight when his father passed away. People were actually talking about Golovkin's layoff before Geale.

If only all fighters had "layoffs" of a few months.

The only fighters I want to see GGG fight is Ward, Froch, or Chavez. I dont want to Cotto in another blood bath

By him fighting frequently, he has established a substantial fan base and he has been able to stay razor sharp in terms of skill and conditioning.

I hope other fighters take notice

You can't help but like Gennady Golovkin - his style is entertaining and gives his fans a fight every 3-4 months

His fan base has grown significantly since his us debut, activity has done him wonders and I'm glad k2 is keeping him like that.

I remember going to his first show in turning stone and there were more people there for proksa and dzinzurik.

Now his last two fights at msg, a majority of them were there for him. Good stuff and I'm definitely going to his next show

Was it a good turnout at the Garden? I couldn't really tell from watching on tv.

I think it was. I could tell there was definitely more than 7k by fight time. There was one section that was almost 3/4's empty and another a little under half.... But overall there were ass in seats with a only a few empty seats

No way that Team Cotto goes anywhere near GGG and it is wise not to in their position. I hope the fan support for GGG vs, Carl Froch can get that fight made this Fall. It is honestly a more even fight than Cotto and one that would do big business in the UK as well as worldwide if HBO got behind it with marketing.

What do you guys think about Froch taking on GGG at 168 pounds?

Those are pretty good numbers, they got their money's worth.
