What big fight have you gotten to drunk for and blacked out during?

I had been married about 6 months when Oscar and Sugar Shane squared off for the second time.

Me and my wife had a small apartment and we had like 20 people stuffed into the place to watch the fight.

I had been drinking since about 1 in the afternoon and by the time the start of the ppv telecast started I had a fifth already (Stoli) down and I had begun to work on a fifth of Seagrams 7.

Obviously Stoli is a alcohol that you can make very potent drinks with and you still cant taste a thing, well when I switch over to 7 and 7 I was still pouring the same amount which meant doom was coming soon!

My father even came over to watch the fight and when OScar and Shane touched gloves I was totally gone (my father was not to happy that his son was a vegetable), only present in the physical form...during about the 8th round my wife had to hit me because I was druling...it was all I could do to act interested in the fight without spinning...

I was scoring the fight to try and hide the fact that I was gone....the second the fight was over I snuck off to bed and had to watch it over the next day...

Anybody else black out for a big fight?

I passed out before Byrd/Golota and heard I did not miss much.......I almost fell asleep before the Vargas/Mosley fight last weekend and was quite impaired by the end of the fight.

I had about 20-25 people over my house for Rafael Ruelas vs. Hicklet Lau.

So, I'm standing there waiting for the big fight to start....when it hits me :
I have all these people in my house, on a Tuesday night.....makin' a mess. Eating food & drinking booze I spent a lot of dough on. All for a washed-up fighter against a never was.

I hated myself for my ******ity, so I drank my ass of until I passed out.

That's what i thought, but, it was really the tortillas, salsa, & Natural Ice that brought them there.
                What was I thinking ?

the year 2001 was quite a blur for me, it was my junior year at Sac State, and my buddies had just acquired a "magic" cable box....

I barely remember Rock's KO of Lennox, and I was even drunker for the rematch (although I won $50 from 5 $10 bets between me and other drunken buddies)....

I was super-sloshed for Vargas' comeback fight in TX, against Rivera, but I think I made it to the final bell....

OH YEAH Oscar-Castillejo, I passed out in the middle of the fight, but woke up for the 12th round KD
