the problem is that the #1 guy at 160 (Cotto) will not be fighting GGG next, there's a ton more $$$$ in fighting Canelo. So why doesn't team GGG take the Ward fight and when the Cotto fight happens a year from now , it will be that much bigger. Who are they going to fight instead? Soliman? Lee? Rubio?

You think most would rather see these bums vs Ward? Really?

What do you mean, take the fight? Where's the offer?

        Are you kidding?

Who wouldn't pay to see two undefeated champions in their prime? It would even be a huge success on PPV. I'd definitely pay for this fight. GGG promoter is afraid the fight may be too competitive for GGG. But I think GGG can handle it.

Wooooow this is PURE BS. I tell you this, GGG would have a carreer payday if he fought Andre Ward right now. Golovkin Team needs to stop acting like Gennady is some sort of PPV star and Andre Ward is a complete unknown fighter. NEWSFLASH team Golovkin, you guys are NOT going to get the Miguel Cotto or Canelo fight. Take on Andre Ward already, stop being *****es.

How can you make an offer to someone who says Golovkin vs. Ward doesn't make financial sense? This is not exactly the best way to start negotiations. By the look of things, Tom Loeffler is looking for low risk-high reward fights (Cotto, Chavez Jr.), and a Ward fight doesn't fit the description. If Golovkin can't secure these fights, he will probably continue to build his brand against the likes of Soliman, Murray, etc.

It does make sense. It would do better than Martinez/cotto

There's been a lot of time for Ward to make that offer, then we'd know if it did or did not make financial sense. Maybe the lack of one indicates something about the finances. But before you can take the fight, there has to be an offer

Meanwhile, Ward may rematch Bika or E-Rod.

if the fight happened now it would be cool, same way as if ward went up to fight stevenson that would be cool. But imo the best path for GGG to follow is the path he seems to want to follow e.g. become unified middleweight champ and then move up and try to become unified super middleweight champ and call that a career.

If people want to push certain fighters to move up in weight it should surely be the fighters that have beaten all the guys in their division already ... cleared the division out. Not guys who are just about to clear their division out and then say wait ...a ctually I won't bother clearing out the division at all I'll just move up instead ... GGG isn't even the lineal middleweight champ yet.

When a black boxer says it doesn't make business sense, their fans praise it. Yet when the shoe is in the other foot against him with a non black boxer, they get **** on by the same dudes.
