Adam Booth had trained super middleweight George Groves until a bit before Groves challenged titleholder Carl Froch last year.

Groves lost that bout by a controversial stoppage. There was no controversy in the rematch, which Froch won in May with a one-punch knockout. Booth chatted briefly with BoxingScene.com on July 25 about what he thought.

Groves makes me laugh with his denial,and wish to fight froch a 3rd time, he has an intellectual superiority complex, and thinks he can win through pure tactics alone: A Booth trait.

Yes froch was lucky to get a stoppage in the first(thats not to say it wasn't coming), but hats off to rob mccracken for spotting the weakness in groves defence, great body work and set-up for the right: feinting, and throwing away the left. Also the feinting and stepping out of range for counters had froch even until the KO.

Groves has got to go in and dominate, unless he can tighten his defence, and not rely on his reflexes, otherwise he is getting steamrollered by any of the top guys.

Groves is a bum. He try hit carl with left hooks when his best punch is his right hand. Some doughnut hes chinny too. The right hand he hit froch with was far worse than the right hand froch hit him with in the rematch and he was out cold. Froch got up and continued.

100%, if carl is even midway through a fight its job done, if froch is down by mid way he has a get-out clause: sprint across the ring and pile the pressure on, it usually works, and he even came back against ward in the last few rnds.
Groves has got to stop trying to counter every single punch.

That's interesting about Booth thinking he can always win with tactics. When have we ever seen a Booth fighter adjust during a fight? When Haye's plan didn't work against Wlad he just kept doing the same thing and losing the rounds. When the Valuev fight was too close for comfort he just kept it up and sc****d the decision.
