Comments Thread For: Paul Smith: I Have a Gameplan That Will Undo Abraham!

Paul Smith is relishing the chance to fulfil his world title dream by toppling WBO super-middleweight champion Arthur Abraham when the pair meet in Kiel, Germany on September 27.

The 31-year-old Liverpudlian has been handed the shot in the wake of May's impressive second-round stoppage of David Sarabia and is determined to complete a remarkable journey by upsetting the odds in front of Abraham's home fans.

Smith has three blemishes on his record - falling to Steven Bendall, James DeGale and George Groves - but insists he has never been in better shape having fully recovered from the broken hand he first suffered in 2008.

Gameplan = sticking behind a ridiculously tight guard for half a fight, throwing nothing in return and getting picked off with power shots before finally retiring on stool. Then we'll have to endure that cretinous wanker, Nick Halling, reminding us all what a "brave and courageous" effort Paul Smith put up and how he'll come again.

That would be kinda funny if he ended up getting a belt before DeGale and Groves.

Paul smith is getting stopped by abraham. He was knocked out by groves and degale. Abraham punches hard so I feel sorry for him. Its really a mis match.

Well, the game plan has been laid about 5 times now.

Box the guys ears off and move and he is pretty useless. Smith, however, is not good enough to do it.

This is all so true. Seems like all huge underdog English fighters in title fights seem to use that same gameplan all the time. Defend like hell and hope not to get stopped but they always do.

                Rose against Andrade
                Purdy against Alexander
                Bellew against Stevenson

                Always Hearn fighters too.
