Comments Thread For: Haye Defends Chisora, Rejects Claims He Ran From Fury

David Haye has come out in defense of his ex-rival, Dereck Chisora. Haye was last seen in the ring scoring a fifth round TKO over Chisora in 2012. Chisora was scheduled to face Tyson Fury in a highly anticipated rematch on Saturday night in Manchester, but on Monday morning he withdrew with a fractured hand. Haye himself withdrew, twice, from scheduled fights with Fury.

Both Fury and many of the boxing fans have attacked Chisora for his late withdrawal. Ironically, Fury was set to face late-replacement Alexander Ustinov and then withdrew from that bout on Saturday morning due to a family emergency.

    Haye did run from fury..

He pulled a Floyd and "retired" and didn't fight fury, only to comeback once fury was busy with another opponent..

If haye isn't ducking fury, he should fight him when he comes back

You gotta like Haye and his comments. Also shows all these fighters read these forums.
Fury doesn't accept other people's excuses and yet he withdraws from fight himself? How classless?

He didn't actually retire after getting injured before the Fury fight. He said he'd see how things went from the start.

If he showed the x-rays idiots would claim they aren't his. Best for them to just ignore morons like you.

Yeah, exactly. It's not Chisora's job to show the fans the x-rays. He has to show it to the commissions and do whatever other legal things he has to do to exonerate him from pulling out.

And Haye is totally reasonable in what's he saying.

Damn Haye just owned all of you girls. I have to agree, boxing message boards are the most estrogen-filled chats on the internet.
