Just as it's ignorant and irrelevant to say how long it takes to get over a love ones death. (As you did). So just because she died a week or two before the fight while he was training in another country across the globe. He in your thoughts should be well over it. Opposed to her dying the night before. And we are comparing Death to someone being sick. Another big difference. So with your theory. Being sick is more devastating than losing a love one a couple of weeks before ?

I never said he was over it. I said he'd had time to process it. It wasn't as if his mother was on her death bed. She was dead. He knew the situation.

Fury's uncle is apparently seriously ill and his situation is unclear.

I'm not saying what is more devastating. I'm saying one is a clear situation and another isn't. If one of my family died, I'd eventually have to move on with my life and do my job..... but I'm not going into work if one of my family is seriously ill in hospital and could die at any moment.

I wonder if they mixed up the Hughie Fury's. There's 3 of them. One is Tyson Fury's younger brother who just fought his 1st heavyweight pro fight not long ago, another is his cousin and former trainer, and the 3rd Hughie is his cousin and undefeated heavyweight prospect who actually has been sick. His former trainer to my understanding was in jail. This whole situation would make more sense if they were talking about Hughie his younger cousin. He was already sick and was close to everyone in the training camp. It was Peter Fury(his current trainer's) decision to pull him out. I think it's legit. If it wasn't why would Eddie Chambers who has grown close to the family also pull out? As far as comparing Buster Douglas with Tyson Fury's situation. Even if it was the exact situation just because Buster Douglas fought doesn't mean that everyone else has to or be deemed a scared. I think Tyson is getting a lot of criticism because of what he said to Chisora pulling out recent and how he'd fight no matter what. But everyone has their limits. This isn't a heavyweight title fight like Douglas was offered and with a huge pay day. If Pulev was champ and Tyson had been training to fight him maybe things would be different. Circumstances as they are with Pulev being a late replacement and a better fighter in my opinion than Chisora and Tyson risking losing his rankings and title shot if he's not 100% focused makes this situation more understandable. And from what I read it was Peter who pulled him out . It wasn't Tyson's decision.
