***8220;They***8217;re still looking for opponents, but then, hopefully, I win that and then take two more fights and then fight Rigondeaux.
Why does Santa Cruz want three more fights before a potential Rigondeaux clash? I don't get it. He says he's ready for Rigo "any time, any place", and then he says he needs three fights. He wants Rigo to be 35 when they fight lol. Take your stay-busy fight in September and face him in early 2015.

Rigondeaux: "Leo Santa Cruz I am ready, I will show you who the best in the division is. The fans want the fight so come on, I'll fight you in September no problem #RigoSantaCruz"

Lets 'ave it then. GBP make it happen

Rigondeaux-Santa Cruz is a fight that Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya would love to make a reality.

Like I said in the thread yesterday, a lot of balls still have to fall before this fight even becomes possible. Who will Rigo sign with? Who is Santa Cruz signed with? Will Showtime approve it? Will Haymon approve it?

Rigo and Santa Cruz have very little say over who they fight when it comes down to it. I'll hope and hope and hope it happens, but I'm not banking on it until I have a reason.

Three more fights?! They're acting like Santa Cruz is a prospect or something. I guess they know of Rigo's bad habits and they're waiting for that and father time to catch up.

"We want Rigo but.... we need three more fights."

Nothing to see here. They know they can't beat Rigo.

Someone needs to explain to Leo the purpose of calling someone out, and proclaiming to be willing and able to fight.

Opened thread with enthusiasm leaving dissapointed

That is the way it should be! Yeah I know he saying he wants to take a few more fights first and I agree I do think Leo needs a few more fights. But in return it will make it a bigger fight if Leo looks impressive in those others fights first. No Rush Needed, I wanna see Rigondeaux fight the winner of Martinez vs Frampton II first

Now it all depends on who Rigondeaux signs with

LSC will say this, and in my mind he probably genuinely feels that way. But boxers don't choose who they fight any more.

Rigo needs to get disrespectful and go duck hunting. Show up at the press conferences of these ducks and talk ****.
