Is Felix Sturm the best middlweight in the world?

Maybe not, but he could be. If he gets past Masoe then he's definitely the next in line for the winner of Taylor-Wright, and he deserves that shot particularly considering how he was robbed and embarassed in front of the whole world against De La Hoya.

I've looked at about 5 Sturm fights and he's very solid skills wise. I'd like to see him given a shot. If his chin can hold up, he's got a legit shot.

As an aside, does anyone know if Masoe is as big a puncher as his record suggests?

I dont think Masoe has fought anyone that is World Class. As far as his power, it must be decent. Masoe Knocked out Ashira at middleweight, Ashira went on to fight Calzaghe in his next fight at super middleweight and Calzaghe couldnt knock him out. Yea Calzaghe broke his hand, but he was fighting a blown up middleweight, when he is a starved light heavy.

Sturm's a skilled technician, but Winky is better.

Damn Bro you are talking of Sturms' some solid skills. Did you use the wrong term or you mean it as it is. I'd rather use the word "decent skills" than "solid".

I firmly believed that Sturm was robbed of a victory against De La Hoya but that was not a very notable nor awesome performance.
He simply out jabbed DLH that's all there is in that fight. How many times did he throw combinations in that fight? And you call that solid skills?

Well that only means I'm only posting logically. How can I say he has a solid skill when he failed to show that against DLH, who was the only big named fighter Sturm has fought. Nobody knows Sturm here in U.S. prior to his DLH fight. I don't invent sories and HYPE fighters buddy, I call it as I see it.

Felix could have won that fight by UD if he acted just a little bit aggresive. That fight was a battle of jabs from round 1 to finish.
