This I totally agree with. I can understand if he felt as if there was no padding in the gloves the first time and wanted to ensure they weren't trying to cheat. But it should have been in the contract this time around.
But here is my conspiracy theory. The first fight didn't have a huge story line going in. The only thing they were going off of was that Maidana beat Broner. Now going in to the second fight we have "Maidana gave Floyd his toughest test", and "The Gloves". What if the glove situation had already been agreed upon by both camps, but in order to help promote the fight they are using this. I mean the first promotion tour had no drama, but this one is filled with it, and you can believe there will be much **** talking done by both camps during all access.
You have to remember sports are meant for entertainment. And Floyd clearly entertains whether you like him or not.
