As much as I hope you are right, with 12 rounds to figure out how to fight Chino, Floyd should be fully prepared to deal with him with his pillow gloves on. If he wins more than 2 rounds, I think it's a moral victory. Just another number on Floyd's bogus undefeated record.
I do think Floyd should be more prepared if he and his team can look at the tape objectively, see where he went wrong and what Chino did right. Then again, Chino and his team will likely do the same.
What I find interesting is this idea that Mayweather is somehow going to just "move" more and make it easier. Moving more will make it worse and he can't do that, which is why he was on the ropes for such long periods. His best bet is to work on his inside work, firing counters off the ropes and the jab in the middle of the ring. It's going to be a dogfight and if Maidana is truly hungry then we're going to get some surprises.
Anyone with sense knows it wasn't an easy fight, Now Canelo was an easy fight, no cries for a rematch there.
MM was not an easy fight by any stretch. I think everyone including Floyd was surprised by the fight Chino put up. I didn't think it would be so close but I knew his style was going to cause problems as he's kind of unpredictable and has a pretty long reach.

I don't think Floyd can move like Lara anymore, but he can keep the fight in the center of the ring more than he did in the last fight. Laying on the ropes and taking punches is a bad sign for an aging fighter. Was not a good look for Ali!

Was a good look for Ali against Foreman.
Was a good look for Nelson against Fenech in the rematch.
Was a good look for Toney against Jirov.
It really depends but aging fighters have to fight well off the ropes because they just can't move like that. Worked for Ali against Foreman but against Holmes, for instance, he was just too far gone.
Um of course he will train smarter and rest more, the guy is 37 years old, closer to 38 - wake up and stop hating, Maidana is gonna get it worst, everyone is saying IF Maidana comes in hungry yada yada yada.. Maidana is who he is, he looked to have gained a couple of pounds since the last fight - we all know Floyd could have fought a better fight, so its really up to the game plan enforced. I think he will use his legs more, to walk Maidana into that straight lead right..
he doesnt wan maidana to feel more confident, thats why he is saying this
he knows it was a tough fight
he feels insecure on how the fight went, thats why at the post presser he was adamant in pointing out canelo and cotto were tougher fights whilst riachard schaefer was whispereing to him "you are supposed to say 'yes, maidana was my toughest fight'" and mayweather replied "no, im not gonna lie, thats one thing im not gonna do"
HA !!!!!That was good !!
IF Jr does anything well its "LYING" !!! IF he were set on fire and hollaring I'm on fire, I'd be like the Duck Dynasty boys, and say , "NAH", lets wait a min and see , hahahahaha
