I don't see how that video is supposed to show us that he has a good chin. He was practically down after almost ever hit. It shows he has a ton of heart, but not a solid chin.

Lol its really funny to see how peurto ricans are trying to claim that Cotto has a very good chin but in reality he DOESNT. A boxer with good chin doesnt get dazed or wobbled by those shots, rather than trying to give him credit for having good chin, you guyz should be giving him credit for having a good heart. A lot of boxers dont have good heart but cotto surely does and it could help him in the long run. but you know my main concern is his defence(or lack of) , a lot of head-shots that he took from torres could easily have been blocked if he'd tried to block them. if you guyz remember, when cotto first burst onto the scene, everybody was saying that cotto is a very well rounded fighter and he has a very good defence. but what happend to that defence? you know cotto's defence actually detorieted when the heat was on, it was the first time cotto had been in that type of situation and his defence failed. he took alot of flush shots which he shouldnt have taken in the first the place.

You know Chin and power are two attributes that come naturaly and thers no way to improve them. but you can work on your defence and cotto surely needs to work on his defence. But tbh i dont think cotto can beat many(or any)elite fighters if he continues to fight the way he is doing atm. I dont think he can beat castillo let alone floyd mayweather jnr. He really really needs to work on his defence if he is to stand a chance against those guyz.

      regards

Cotto looks much heavier than Torres. It looks like a match between a welterweight (Cotto) vs a smaller Jr Welterweight (Torres). If the little guy can do that to Cotto, the 147 fighters like Margarito will KO him for sure.

That's like saying Zab's chin shouldn't be an issue. Zab isn't a brawler either but if you have a bad chin. IT's AN ISSUE.

torres shots were strong ones... diego would have gone down with those punches so i'd say cotto has the "less" bad chin

zab's chin is in a lower category than cotto's, zab's recovery ability is out the door, once he gets staggered he cant come back tough. he loses too much confidence. many people said cotto had a bad chin after the corley fight, and that's incorrect because he wasn't even hit on the chin. cotto gets punched coming in, and when that happens vs a puncher you take some punishment. in fact if you take a close look at the majority of cotto's knockdowns he's getting caught coming in. I gotta admit though, he should've blown Torres out much earlier and not taken that much from a guy of Torres caliber.

Regardless, at that high level of competition, Cotto came into the ring weighing damn near 158. Corley on the other hand Still weighed less than 140. I know he got hit on the temple, but with that big of weight difference you aren't supposed to be rocked like that. So the question arises how's his chin?

Of course, I think Cotto has better heart and determination than Zab. Miguel has still come back to win his fights, but what happens when he's in their with a killer of a finisher like a Castillo, or a Margarito? It's lights out.

It has been mentioned that Cotto has outgrown the 140 division. I am one of those who say that his main problem is not the chin, but the sacrifices the guy has to make to weight 140. I am almost sure that he would be better off as a 147 because he won't be draining himself and then ballooning up for fight night.
