Truth is that a high percent of the time you run into a tough guy, they can't fight, or could fight but are untrained and the only experience they have is in the street. All of these, 'what is more effective' threads are ultimately useless. If you boxed for 10 years, and some guy kick boxed 3 years, you'd most likely kick his ass. You are the more experienced guy at your field. You know more tricks, more veteran moves. If you are a better boxer than some one is a kick boxer, you'll likely win in a street fight.
