Running is only for exercise or to evade the police

Kimbo Slice Dominate Street Fighting so now imagine a trained boxer without gloves...
I dont agree with your fist to fist idea, im a little guy 5'7 130 lbs but i throw punches hard and fast. I have never had a guy my own size try and fight me its always 6 foot 180 type guys who are lookin for easy fights and will eat some punches just to try and get close to maul me or try and take me down. Your idea of fist to fist only usually relates to the first 5 or 10 seconds

Boxing is the only sport you need in a street fight because once you are good enough you can end the fight with the first punch you throw

Like any martial arts, it's dependant on the user. Most east asian martial arts disciplines are ineffective in real combat because most people just don't have the natural attributes required for that to be effective.

I like judo because technique can trump natural attributes, and when you couple that with athletic ability - **** is dangerous. This guy in my gym practices judo - the dude is a combination of speed, power and technique. His ability to close the distance and put people on their ass is just impressive. I think he'll be going pro in a year. Me and him do a lot of boxing, since he's trying to expand past that. He's got fast hands and power. Once he can be on par with his boxing and his judo, to go with traditional wrestling - he's going to be a problem

I think you underestimate the take-down range and speed a skilled grappler. If you haven't trained at all to deal with it you are usually ****ed.
