Kicking is one of the more overrated fighting attributes. I hate it myself.

My last trainer was a kickboxer (for those who live in West Texas, in San Angelo - I'm sure you know who he is)
Anyways - we were sparring, around maybe 70% - I'm uncomfortable throwing kicks as fluid as I am with punches - since I've been doing it for so long - anyways - this dude threw some punches that I dodged and countered, he staggered back, side stepped and threw a right kick into my body. I had a mother effin bruise on my rib/ab for like 3 weeks
**** kickboxers! **** is lethal

BUT..... Street fights are not straight up scraps. A boxer can sucker punch a kick boxer then what?? Most fights usually start with someone getting socked and if a boxer socks you first then you're most likely in trouble.

in a alley fight both guys being equal the kickboxer rules.
but in the boxing ring its a different story.
boxing takes so much more skill there is no comparison.
thats why you don't see very many kickboxers crossover to real boxing.
and why you see boxers when theyre on the way down crossover to mma and kickboxing.
