His promoters talked a lot how he wasn't being promoted in the right way, now they have the opportunity to put up that cash and take him to Miami. I say they just have him fight 3-4 times a year keeping him busy defending his belt, the big fights will come eventually. The worst thing they could do is go the Gamboa route and have him sit out for 1 fight a year.

Honestly if I was Cuban I wouldn't have these fighters come to America, I would have them move to Canada or Germany. Lets be serious Americans don't even give a **** about American champions, now they are going to give a **** about immigrants who don't speak the language? I'm not saying it can't happen but their style doesn't resonate much in this country.

Germany might be perfect since they have no problem with a boring style and Gomez did pretty good out there.

They're ****ing useless dude. They're just in it for the cash. If Tyson can put up an event with Cubans and 0 promotion and get a decent turn out then why cant Caribe put some events with Rigo. Im sure a network will pick it up.

well yea but that caribe promoters he has are not helping him at all.

Rigondeaux should get rid of Caribe Promotions as soon as possible. Right now the article says he is under contract with them. How can they call themselves promoters if they don't promote any shows? What is the last fightcard they promoted? Also, if they are real promoters, why do they need a co-promoter? These leeches are only here to collect a paycheck.

I agree with this. Hernandez is also doing very well in Germany. You can also add Wlad, Sturm, Abraham, etc. to the list of non-German boxers who are making good money fighting over there. Rigondeaux should try to go there or maybe in the U.K. They seem to appreciate, or at least respect, pro boxers regardless of their fighting styles.

According to Brian Campbell, Rigondeaux is in talks with three promotional companies: one in Europe (Matchroom? Sauerland?) and two in the U.S.

What good is it for Rigo to sign with Caribe when they don't seem to be willing to promote him themselves?

They did this before. It seems like they don't want to financially risk promoting Rigo themselves, so they look for a co-promoter to do all the work and take the financial risk, while they collect a check as a middle man.

I think the USA should use Rigondeaux for their National Missile Defense system. I just don't see any Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles penetrating Rigo's defense. Too slick.

This co- promotion crap is going to be a problem for rigo. He's a tough sell as it is and caribe asking another promoter to split profits with them. Com'on ... If I were rigo I would think about trying to buy my contract out and take a gamble on my own.
