In 2014 he would have dropped to 154 for a Ppv like Floyd, Cotto or Canelo but at this point Floyd only. When Canelo feels ready he can probably get 157 but you'd hope it's 160 if he's still holding the lineal belt lol

doesnt he looses the lineal when he fights for a title on a different division? honest question, thats the impression i had... i dont really see what changed from 2014 to now, golovkin still says he can fight at 154(floyd or pac), if anything canelo is a bigger name than 2 years ago , before he was the 3rd draw, now he is number 1... ggg made 150k on a ppv but that wont change the situation by much...
