EDIT: also, mauricio herrera is no joke. That was a tough fight for danny, and herrera PROVED himself in his last 2 performances that he is the real deal.

But don't get me wrong, when you are the unified motherfking light welterweight champion of the world and hold 3 motherfking belts, theres no reason why you should be fighting a sack of potatoes in a non title fight while headlining your own card. in truth nobody should have given him all that much respect for his clinch and stall tactics in that fight.

he got respect by default only because it was lucas and he was left standing at the end. he damn near had a breakdown after the fight

then he sees hererra and is beat up and taken to school. all of pr's legendary champs collectively rolled over in their graves that night, and living legends like tito were left shedding a tear for where pr boxing is.

He is a Lightweight prospect he's not even ranked in the top 15 by the WBC or WBA that is why it is going to be a non-sanctioned non-title contest. I agree Danny Garcia should be having a unification bout with Lamont Peterson, rematches with Lucas Martin Matthysse, Mauricio Herrera or even a fight with Ruslan Provodnikov who is signed with Warriors Boxing, Ruslan Provodnikov is not with Top Rank. They are saying that this is a merely a "tune up" fight for Danny Garcia and that he is going to be expected to fight Chris Algieri sometime in early 2015 win, lose or draw in the Manny Pacquiao fight.

I hope Ron Salsa whoops danny but like him being unranked light weight moving up a weight class to fight the so called unified title wasnt enough now he will be fighting 2 weight classes above the lightweight limit.
