    Sergey Kovalev vs. Eleider Alvarez.

I think this would be a good fight after Caparello. Alvarez has a good jab, and could give Kovalev rounds.

Hell no. Kovalev needs a unification bout.

        Hopkins or bust, IMO.

If that fight falls thru, Alvarez would probably be the next best possible opponent

I don't think this fight is possible, though. Isn't he with GYM? If so, not happening... Yvon Michel is part of Duvas lawsuit I think

OK, how about Thomas Williams Jr?

            Why not Hopkins?

He said he wants the fight. According to everyone on NSB that means it's gonna happen

Hopkins. Both sides said they want it, make it happen. Nothing else is acceptable in comparison.

If Kovalev/Hopkins doesn't happen next, the fighter responsible is going to be hugely criticized, and IMO justifiably.

Thomas Williams is about the slowest, clumsiest guy I have seen in a long time. He would get massacred. Eleider has some good fundamentals but if the aged, ponderous Edison Miranda could hit him often, he would not fare well against Kovalev. Might last a few rounds cause he seems to have a decent chin. Williams too easy to hit and has a questionable chin.

Agreed. Alvarez has a horrible gastank and defense. I actually had the Miranda fight a near draw. He offers zero challenge to Kovalev.
