14 to 1 is just crazy, Algeri has nothing to lose and everything to gain, he is not scared, he knows how to box well and use the jab, he has good foot movement, and he has the height and reach advantage. All that being said Pac should be a heavy favorite but 14 to 1 is just ridiculous.

Good luck praying for Algieri getting a decision over Pac in Macau. He can't KO him, and he can't drop him several times either.

Sounds about right. Pac fans announcing fake Algieri bets to defend the matchup.

Power seems to be a factor in those odds. Algieri's power is on par with Malignaggi's. If you can't hurt Pacquiao, or have respectable power, it's hard to beat him even though he's aging and no longer prime. He's also a JWW coming up in weight, and was knocked down twice against a slow come forward fighter. His right eye was also busted up pretty bad by Prov, which shows some big holes in his defense to have his eye pummeled that bad. You need good defense to beat Pac.

Imagine telling someone that Maidana is an 18/1 dog, then they try to bet it, and get 7/1. They'll think you're a moron that doesn't know what he's saying.

And when we're talking about -1800 favorites, there's no reason in the world to juice it any higher than it needs to be. No one is laying $1800 to win $100.
REKT... the point they are trying to make is "the Algeri matchup is just as good as Floyd vs Maidana"...
Vegas doesn't think so... And I'm sure the ppv numbers will reflect the same .

Im concerned about this fight, but only because I'm reading threads on NSB.

In reality, Algieri should be 14 to 1. I mean, dude was on ESPN fighting guys with 10 losses just a little while ago. When's the last time a no-name FnF came out of the blue and beat an All-Time Great like Pac?

Of course, wild things have been happening in Pac fights lately (Bradley robbery, JMM KO), so who knows.

Im a Pac fan and there's no way this matchup is as good.

Maidana has fought some pretty high level competition. Maidana didnt come from ESPN and eek out a decision over another ESPN fighter who almost got his head knocked off in the first round.
