Following Dereck Chisora’s withdrawal yesterday from his fight against Tyson Fury after fracturing his hand, promoter Frank Warren’s event at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester will go ahead with a title-packed card featuring British stars Billy Joe Saunders, Liam Smith and Terry Flanagan.

While the Chisora v Fury fight is being rescheduled and a new date will be announced shortly, Fury is still expected to fight on the show this Saturday with further details to follow.

Saunders faces the biggest challenge of his career when he takes on undefeated Italian Emanuele Blandamura for the Vacant European Middleweight Championship; exciting Liverpool light-middleweight Liam Smith defends his British title against Jason Welborn; Manchester ace Terry Flanagan challenges Martin Gethin for the Vacant British Lightweight Championship; an exciting Manchester-Liverpool clash sees Jack Catterall face Nathan Brough for the Vacant Central Area Light-Welterweight Championship; top talents Ronnie Heffron and Liam Williams collide in an Eliminator for the British Light-Middleweight Championship.

An action packed undercard features top American heavyweight Eddie Chambers and some of the best in domestic talent: undefeated rising talent Chris Eubank Jnr., unbeaten Liam Walsh; plus top prospects Tom Stalker, Adrian Gonzalez, Declan Gerraghty, Yusef Safa, McCauley McGowan and the pro debut of Michael Gomez Jnr.

Members of the public who have purchased tickets through Eventim for the event have three options:
    1. Use your ticket(s) for the show this Saturday
    2. Keep your ticket(s) to exchange for a new ticket(s) to a rescheduled Chisora v Fury fight

Yep, give that Fury a fight so he doesn't go crazy. My guess is it will be Thompson. If he fights on Saturday, that will be emotional therapy for him. Just what the doctor ordered.

At least Fury will be able to fight. I'm not a big fan of the way he acts but being the third pull out in a row?! I feel for the guy. Would love it to be Tony Thompson but doubt it (let me be wrong? )

        That all sounds very reasonable.
