That's a helluva fight. Two guys that would go toe to toe. It's a shame Canelo can't find comp with this kind of heart .& guts. He would be better suited for the late 90's, early 2000's. Him versus his predecessor DLH!

This is a 50/50 fight at it's finest.

Gotta go with Vargas as it stands right, now. He was a better boxer and probably naturally bigger too.

Oscar would have Killed him ... are you sure you dont hate Saul ? someone should ask him what a fight versus the cinnabun would have been like odds are he will get a big smile on his face knowing he would have tossed his salad only to respond " it would been a brutal war"

Vargas was a hell of a fighter but had a bad boxing brain.. and we gotta consider the steroid usage as well. I honestly think Alvarez beats him in a calculated slugfest.

why you say this? vargas at his best was a very cerebral boxer/puncher.

I don't know where you get that he had a bad boxing brain. I'd say he had a pretty good one. Plus, doesn't look to me like he used roids until post-Tito. I'm assuming this poll is referring to the prime version.
